Our Herd

Minnie

Our sweetest goat…and the oldest one on our farm! Minnie is very quiet and sweet tempered. She loves to be cuddled and is the best Mama! Her milk is the richest out of all our does and makes the most beautiful soap ever! She loves wheelchairs and often plants herself right beside them!

Martha

Meet Martha! She is Minnie’s sweet baby girl who is all personality! She loves to get in very close to people and even up on laps if she thinks she is allowed! She is working her way towards being as good a Mama as her sweet Mama. She is often the first to greet friends and the last to say goodbye. She just loves people!

If you’ve met her you know her nickname well! The nibbler will get your clothes every single time…she is just the sweetest girl. She is Minnie’s half sister and Miso’s Mama. She loves her head scratched and if you hold a brush tightly she will even scratch her own head!

PHEOBE

MISO

We call this one TROUBLEMAKER! She is so quirky and funny and loves to be up on peoples backs! If you bend over just a little she appears like a ninja out of nowhere and hops up! She is Pheobes daughter.

    ELLIE

    Oh sweet Ellie…she is one of the calmest girls we have and sometimes people don’t even notice shes there. When she chooses you though she is the softest girl….maybe even softer than the cashmere goats. She is one of our foundation Does. Her mama was Lily. Lily passed away unexpectedly 4 years ago when Ellie was just a year old. She is a great Mama goat and produces huge amounts of milk!

    CLARK

    Clarky boy….you are so special! This is one of his baby pictures. He’s a bigger boy now but his sweet personality is the same. Clark chooses someone every visit and then you are his for the whole time. He will actually chase away other goats to have you all to himself! Clark specializes in people with anxiety and ADHD he seems to know and will plant himself right beside them for as long as it takes for them to feel better!

    POSEY

    Posey is a curious little Nigerian Dwarf goat with bright eyes and a playful spirit. She loves nibbling greens and greeting visitors. Despite her tiny size, Posey’s personality is as big as her heart, and she’s always ready to bring a smile to anyone’s day!

    Ozzie

    This sweet girl right here…..born while the radio quietly played “Down Under” and the inspiration for her name. She loves to stand quietly behind people and just gently give them her hoof She is a cashmere/mini lamancha mix so she is the best combination of quiet calm and fluffy.

    ALICE

    Sweet Alice….. this was her first year as a mama, and gave birth to the smallest baby Rowandale has ever seen! Alice is an excellent mother with great milk lineage!

    MICAH

    Micha is our other resident boy….he is Misty’s son and is technically a mini cashmere although he’s huge! He is crazy soft and really quiet. He never makes a peep! He is a gentleman who is never pushy but always willing to have a cuddle. He LOVES selfies!!

    ESTHER

    Our herd QUEEN! Nothing gets past her…she sees all and doesn’t like shenanigans. She breaks up every little thing. She is still such a good girl though. She is a great Mom who always has multiple kids. She loves scratching the top of her head.She is a sassy walker and you can see her sass in her swagger.

    BEA

    Little Bea. Our shyest girl. She is from a doe we had several years ago names buttercup who was our former herd queen….and boy was she SASSY! Not Bea though. She is just the most gentle girl. She is a good mama and will wait until you come to her. then she will settle in for as many scratches as you are willing to give her!

    SAM WISE

    Sam Wise is one of our wethers, full of so much personality and sweetness! You can count on Sam Wise to give you a good giggle as well as a great cuddle!

    MISTY

    If you’ve spent time with Misty you know how special she is. She is a cashmere goat so very soft, but her specialness is way beyond softness. She is quiet as a mouse and gentle as can be. You will find her beside you waiting for scratches. You might not even realize she is there until you put your hand at your side! She is also Micha’s Mama and has been such a great Mama for us…producing the quietest sweetest versions of herself…her sweet gentle personality passed on to her kids!

    POPCORN

    We waited so long for Popcorn and her brother, Cinnamon! Pheobe held out and delivered this precious girl just this past July. She is a little cutie who loves to a good adventure

    KODA

    I have to use her baby picture as her profile picture because she was the funniest baby we’ve ever had! She was seriously cute and independent. Her Mama is Paisley and Paisley was a first time Mama so perhaps not the most attentive so Koda would fend for herself! She even tried nursing off Polly our black lab! When she was hungry she would jump out and come get us in the house. Years have passed and she is a well mannered sweet girl who still attempts to get on your lap to cuddle.

    WINNIE

    Gentle in spirit and wise in her ways. Winnie is one of Rowandale’s Mini Lamanchas, she loves her babies fiercely and is a great mama to Fig who you can visit at Rowandale too!

    LUNA

    Rowandale’s first Oberhasli, Luna came to us from a farm downstate with the hopes of increasing overall milk production for our luxurious soaps! We are so excited to have her on the farm. Her gentle nature and wise eyes, make her a great addition!

    CINNAMON

    Pheobe’s baby boy and our youngest wether on the farm! Cinnamon is learning to be a kindness ambassador just like his mama.

    MOCHA

    Mocha…..this girl….she is the queen of eye contact. She loves to look deep into your eyes. You can feel all your cares disappear as you stare back. She is one of my best producers. Sooooo much milk! She leans in while she is being milked and doesn’t even need to be restrained while she is being milked ….she loves it so much!

    She’s a great Mama that takes the longest time to deliver her babies! She often takes 18 hours! She always has multiples and this year we are hoping for triplets again!

    Cocoa

    This is Esther’s daughter She is a gentle soul. A little on the shy side at first until she chooses you….then she is in your pocket!

    Winnie’s daughter. This girl is a loving sweet punk! She is likely to be in the middle of shenanigans and is often the instigator

    She is also gentle, like her Mama. She will get on your lap if you let her and is also quite happy to be laying down on a blanket beside you.
